Meet Hailey Schivo
Billing & Insurance Claims Specialist, Encore Construction | Water Damage Mitigation Billing | Insurance Claims Documentation & Coordination
Hailey Schivo specializes in billing and insurance claims coordination for the water damage mitigation department at Encore Construction, a family-owned property restoration company serving residential and commercial property owners across Western Washington. Her work focuses on accurate invoicing, insurance documentation, claim submissions, and communication with insurance companies throughout the mitigation billing process.
Hailey plays an important role in connecting the restoration work performed on a property with the documentation insurance companies need to review and process claims. Water damage restoration often involves multiple stages of work, detailed records, and coordination between contractors, homeowners, and insurance adjusters. She helps organize the financial and administrative side of that process, ensuring invoices and supporting documentation are prepared accurately and submitted for review.
Her responsibilities include preparing mitigation invoices, submitting insurance claim documentation, following up on outstanding claims, and addressing billing questions or discrepancies. By maintaining accurate records and communicating with insurance representatives, she helps reduce unnecessary delays and keeps the claims process moving forward.
Hailey understands that property damage can create financial uncertainty for homeowners, especially when insurance coverage, restoration costs, and payment timelines are involved. She approaches her work with attention to detail, clear communication, and a commitment to helping property owners navigate the administrative side of restoration. Through her work at Encore Construction, Hailey supports a more organized and transparent billing process, helping homeowners better understand restoration-related charges and ensuring insurance companies receive the information necessary to evaluate submitted claims.
ABOUT ME
Water damage can be stressful for homeowners, and the insurance process often adds another layer of uncertainty. Once the immediate damage has been addressed, homeowners may still have questions about invoices, insurance payments, what their policy covers, and how the restoration work will be billed.
My role at Encore Construction is to help manage the billing and insurance claims process for our water damage mitigation department. I work with invoices, supporting documentation, insurance submissions, and claim follow-ups to help ensure the work performed is accurately represented and the information needed to process a claim is available.
I believe accurate documentation is one of the most important parts of restoration billing. Every invoice needs to reflect the work performed, and insurance companies need sufficient information to evaluate the charges. When documentation is incomplete or unclear, it can lead to additional questions, requests for information, and delays in processing.
Communication is just as important. Homeowners are not always familiar with how restoration billing works or why insurance companies request certain documents. I believe they should be able to ask questions, understand what they are being billed for, and know where things stand in the claims process.
I also think it is important for homeowners to understand that insurance coverage depends on the terms of their individual policies. While we can provide documentation, explain the restoration work, and communicate with insurance representatives, coverage decisions ultimately belong to the insurance company. My responsibility is to help ensure the billing and supporting information are accurate and complete.
At Encore Construction, our mitigation team focuses on addressing the physical damage, while my work supports the administrative and financial side of the process. Both are important to helping homeowners move forward after an unexpected property loss.
