Meet Mark Datskiy

Head of Reconstruction, Encore Construction | Property Damage Reconstruction | Insurance-Related Home Repairs & Construction Project Management

Mark Datskiy leads the reconstruction department at Encore Construction, a family-owned property restoration company serving residential and commercial property owners across Western Washington. His professional focus includes property damage reconstruction, insurance-related home repairs, construction project management, contractor coordination, and overseeing the rebuilding process following water damage and other property losses.

Mark built Encore Construction's reconstruction team from the ground up, establishing the foundation for the company's ability to manage home repairs and rebuilding projects following emergency mitigation. He oversees reconstruction operations and works closely with project managers Eric and Andrey to coordinate construction crews, manage project schedules, maintain workmanship standards, and ensure projects progress toward completion.

His responsibilities extend beyond construction management to include communication with insurance companies and coordination of insurance-related reconstruction work. Property damage repairs often involve detailed estimates, decisions about repair methods and materials, and questions about insurance coverage and potential out-of-pocket costs. Mark works to ensure that the necessary repairs are properly documented and that homeowners understand the proposed scope of work, insurance considerations, and financial implications of their reconstruction projects.

He places particular importance on helping homeowners navigate the complexities of rebuilding after property damage. By coordinating construction activities, addressing project challenges, and maintaining communication between project managers, contractors, and insurance representatives, Mark helps reduce uncertainty and keep restoration projects organized.

Mark's leadership reflects a commitment to quality workmanship, efficient project coordination, and continuous improvement. His approach emphasizes careful planning, attention to detail, transparent communication, and making sure homeowners feel informed and confident as their properties are restored.

ABOUT ME

When a home suffers significant damage, the reconstruction process can feel overwhelming. Homeowners are dealing with the disruption of their living space, questions about insurance coverage, decisions about repairs, and concerns about how long everything will take. I believe our responsibility is not just to complete the construction work but to help homeowners understand what needs to happen and what they can expect along the way.

I lead the reconstruction department at Encore Construction, where I built our reconstruction team from the ground up. Today, I work closely with our project managers, Eric and Andrey, to coordinate crews, oversee project schedules, and maintain the quality standards we expect on every job.

One of the most important parts of reconstruction is establishing a clear scope of work. Before repairs move forward, we need to understand the extent of the damage, determine which building materials need to be repaired or replaced, and develop a plan for restoring the property. A well-defined scope helps everyone involved understand the work, the expected costs, and the sequence of construction activities.

I also believe homeowners need clear information about the insurance side of reconstruction. Insurance-related repairs can involve detailed estimates, communication with adjusters, questions about covered damage, and discussions about costs that may not be included in a claim. Our job is to document the necessary repairs, explain the scope of work, and help homeowners navigate those conversations with their insurance companies.

Quality is another priority for me. Reconstruction isn't simply about covering up the visible signs of damage. The work needs to address the affected areas properly, meet applicable construction requirements, and provide homeowners with a finished space they can feel comfortable using again.

My goal is to make the reconstruction process as organized and straightforward as possible, help homeowners understand their repair and insurance options, and ensure our team delivers quality work that restores their properties with care and attention to detail.
